Continuous visibility across your portfolio. No founder input required.

DataSivio monitors external signals around your portfolio and competitor companies and surfaces developments that may affect governance and oversight — without requiring anything from the companies themselves.

How DataSivio Works

A four-step process running continuously in the background.

01

Monitor

Continuous collection from public sources

DataSivio continuously collects signals from Finnish and Estonian public business registries, professional job platforms, and other verifiable open sources. Collection runs around the clock.

02

Detect

Analysis for meaningful change

Raw signals are analysed to identify changes that are likely to matter: a leadership change, a pattern in hiring activity, a structural filing, a shift in competitive positioning.

03

Surface

Clear, interpretable summaries

Each signal includes what changed, why it may matter, and where to verify. DataSivio gives you the information and the source so you can make your own judgment.

04

Verify

Evidence trails, always

Every signal links directly to its original public source. You are never asked to trust DataSivio's interpretation without being able to check the underlying record yourself.

What You See

DataSivio surfaces signals in three formats, designed for different moments in a portfolio manager's week.

Company Signal Feed

A running view of external signals for each portfolio company, in reverse chronological order. What changed, when, and why it may matter. Each entry links to its source.

Use it

When you want to check in on a specific company before a call, a meeting, or a follow-on decision.

Portfolio Snapshot

A cross-portfolio view showing where signal activity is highest, where it is quiet, and where something notable has changed recently. Designed for the weekly check-in.

Use it

At the start of the week, to know which companies deserve attention before anything else comes up.

Weekly Signal Digest

A curated summary of the most relevant external signals from the past seven days across your full portfolio. Formatted as a short document, not a dashboard.

Use it

As your standing briefing on what changed across your portfolio while you were focused elsewhere.

Core Capabilities

Continuous signal monitoring

External signals around portfolio companies are collected and analysed without interruption. No manual triggers required.

Change detection

DataSivio identifies signals that indicate a meaningful development — leadership changes, hiring pattern shifts, registry filings, structural changes.

Clear signal interpretation

Every signal includes a plain-language explanation of what changed and why it may be relevant for an investor.

Evidence trails

Signals link directly to original public sources. Every data point is traceable. This is the foundation of the product's credibility.

Portfolio-level snapshots

View signals across your full portfolio to understand where activity is concentrated and where something has changed.

Competitor monitoring

Track signals from peer companies and competitors to understand the environment your portfolio companies are operating in.

Board preparation briefings

Before a board meeting, DataSivio surfaces a structured summary of all external signals related to a specific company.

Reporting That Reflects What the World Sees

DataSivio's reporting is built entirely from external, publicly available signals. Every other portfolio reporting tool aggregates what founders submit. DataSivio reports on what public sources record, independently of what founders choose to share.

For the portfolio manager

The weekly digest and board prep briefing are formatted for quick reading, not deep archiving.

For fund leadership

The portfolio snapshot gives a GP or Managing Partner a cross-portfolio view without company-level detail. Enough to ask the right questions.

For LP conversations

DataSivio can generate a quarterly external monitoring summary — a document that shows LPs the specific external signals your team tracked across the portfolio.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who specifically is DataSivio for?

DataSivio is built for portfolio managers at VC funds overseeing 15 or more companies who need ongoing external visibility between formal reporting cycles. At the fund level, it is bought by investment managers or General Partners responsible for portfolio governance.

Can AI tools do this instead?

General AI tools can search for public information when prompted — but they do not monitor continuously, do not alert you when something changes, and do not maintain a structured, auditable record of signals over time. DataSivio does this automatically, across your full portfolio.

Does it replace direct reporting from founders?

No. Quarterly updates from founders contain non-public information — internal financials, team dynamics, forward plans — that external monitoring cannot access. DataSivio adds an independent external layer. The two sources answer different questions.

Does this access non-public data?

No. DataSivio monitors publicly available signals only — Finnish and Estonian business registries, public filings, job listing platforms, and other verifiable open sources. Nothing is collected from portfolio companies themselves.

What if a portfolio company is not incorporated in Finland or Estonia?

DataSivio's current signal coverage is built on Finnish and Estonian public registry infrastructure. If your portfolio is concentrated in other markets, we will be direct about what is and is not currently covered during your trial. Expansion to additional registry sources is on the roadmap.
